Nature lovers will enjoy visiting several reserves in the area, including Hothfield Heathlands, Westwell Downs, and Longbeech North, all within 9 miles, while history buffs can absorb themselves in fine British architecture at Scotney Castle and Bodiam Castle (both within 18.5 miles). Round off the day with a well-earned meal at the pub in the pretty village of Bethersden (2.5 miles).
