Dornoch’s beach is less than a mile away, and boasts golden sands, tall dunes and easy walks at any time of year. Follow the shore north towards Embo Beach and keep an eye out for dolphins in the firth. Further afield, Skelbo Castle and Dunrobin Castle offer historic afternoons (both within 12.5 miles).
