Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The property was spacious and well-suited for a larger group, with multiple bedrooms and generously sized beds. The fully furnished kitchen was equipped with all the essential appliances, which were in decent working condition. There was parking available for two cars, with plenty of additional space for more vehicles if needed. The large lounge and living areas provided ample room for everyone to relax and spend time together. Most of the key amenities worked well throughout our stay, including the lighting, hot water (with some disruptions), and heating. As we visited during the summer, the heating was used.

Negative: While the property is spacious, it appears to be quite old and in need of better maintenance. There were cobwebs in several rooms, along with signs of mould, rust, and general wear and tear throughout the property. We also found cobwebs and spiders underneath the mattresses, which was disappointing. The bed linen and towels did not seem particularly clean, and we noticed a few hair strands on them. One of the ensuite bathrooms had a broken thermostat, which meant there was no hot water available. It took four days to resolve, by which time our holiday was almost over. Basic amenities such as hot water should be checked and fully operational before guests arrive. Overall, the property has good potential due to its size and location, but it would benefit significantly from better upkeep, more thorough cleaning, and ensuring that all essential facilities are in working order prior to each guest's stay.
