Floods Island, named after its original owners, is a Log Cabin on an island of its own. It is not only a place to go enjoy the beauty of northern Wisconsin but an experience. Located on Ten Mile Lake in Chetek, WI. You can enjoy a vacation with a large family or extended family. You can make it a relaxing getaway for multiple families. The log interior along with the decore are intended for the outdoor lover, even if you never leave the cabin while your here. It is on an island, one which is accesable by a bridge so you can drive right up to the front door.
There is more than enough space inside so that you can curl up in your own space or enjoy a group meal or game. The basement bookshelves are stocked with some old and new books and games. The cabin is a one of a kind and your vacation will be as well! Most of our renters come back year after year, hope you become one of those that fall in love with it too!
We rent by the week during the summer months (Friday to Friday) and two night minimum in the fall, winter, and spring. Please contact for more information.

Summary: Our family enjoyed our stay at Island Getaway. The property and house was very accommodating for our group including three generations. Unfortunately, the stagnant lake water surrounding the property emitted quite a bad odor. I realize this is nature and nothing the property owners can do about it. We were told by others that the quality of the lake water is better earlier in the summer. If we decide to return someday, we will consider early summer instead of August.
