Turn right out of the front gate and a few minutes’ walk takes you down to the calming oasis of Cala d’Or marina where the chic bars and restaurants that fringe the quayside offer a front row seat for an aquatic, constantly changing panorama as some of Mallorca’s most impressive watercraft come and go. Just 300m away in the other direction a more lively but no less appealing experience awaits in the town’s network of pedestrianised streets which are lined with a vast choice of amenities including supermarkets, boutiques, coffee shops, snack bars and restaurants serving a fascinating range of multi-national cuisine.
