Positive: The apartment is spacious and charming in an old-fashioned, nostalgic way – it feels like stepping back in time or visiting your grandmother’s house. While not modern, it’s nicely decorated and has a certain warmth to it. The highlight is definitely the terrace with a stunning sea view – falling asleep and waking up to the sound of waves is a true pleasure, if you’re lucky enough to get the bedroom on the seaside.

Negative: There’s no air conditioning, which was a major issue during our July stay. With high temperatures, we had to keep all the windows open, and the noise from the nearby railway (trains every 10–15 minutes) and main road was overwhelming – making it almost impossible to sleep in the two bedrooms facing the street. Only one set of keys is provided, which makes coordination difficult for a group of guests. There’s a €50 fee for late check-in, which feels unfair considering there’s little flexibility on the host’s side when it comes to arrival arrangements. Also, the access to the apartment is not clearly explained – Google Maps misleads you, and some guidance would be very helpful. We ended up spending our first day looking for fans and earplugs – it would’ve made a big difference if at least basic fans were provided. Overall, with just a bit more investment in comfort and guest experience – not just in collecting deposits, prepayment, and extra charges – this could be a really lovely stay.
