Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location was excellent, with easy access to Camden and public transport.

Negative: Unfortunately, the stay was disappointing. The staircase to Flat 6 was extremely narrow, making it very difficult to carry luggage up to the apartment. While the listing mentions stairs, it does not convey how challenging the access is in practice. The apartment had no air conditioning and very poor ventilation, which made it extremely uncomfortable during the heatwave. The check-in process was unnecessarily complicated. Although the accommodation had already been paid for through Booking.com, we were required to complete a separate registration process on the Mayfair Stays website before the access details were released. We also had to pay a £250 refundable security deposit through the external portal, which was unexpected at the point of arrival and no receipt was provided at the time of payment. Overall, while the location was good, the difficult access, uncomfortable conditions in hot weather, and cumbersome check-in process meant the property did not meet our expectations.
