This charming cottage with private pool rests in a tranquil spot near Felanitx, in the south-east of Mallorca and can comfortably accommodate 6 guests.
Our guests will have access to a private, 8.5 m x 4 m chlorine pool with a depth of 1.3 m. Surrounded by a well-kept garden with four sun loungers and an outdoor shower, it's a lovely corner to relax and bask in the sun. The shady terrace, ideal for a romantic get-together, has idyllic views over the countryside. If you like cooking outside, you'll enjoy making a BBQ underneath the starry sky. This lovely house is independent and the plot is fenced. A bright sitting-dining room with satellite-TV and DVD-player receives our guests. During the colder months, you can spend time with your loved ones by the fireplace. The fully-equipped kitchen has everything to cook up a feast, including a vitro hob, washing machine, iron and ironing board. The kitchen has direct access to the garden.Perfect for six guests, this well-equipped, one-storey villa offers two double bedrooms and another bedroom with a trundle bed, all fitted with ceiling fans and wardrobes. One double bedroom counts with a bathroom en-suite with bath tub. Additionally, there's a shower bathroom. Two electric radiators warm up the house during the colder months and we can supply more on request. The owner has paid great attention to the environment and has installed solar cells. Located between the urbanisations Son Mesquida and Son Valls, this amazing house rests in the countryside near Felanitx. In the centre you'll find all necessary amenities for an independent stay. At the end of August, Felanitx celebrates the Fiestas of Santa Magdalena, where you can see the famous Cavallets, a traditional dance. The Sant Salvador Sanctuary, located on the top of a hill, has amazing panoramic views over the island's centre and the south-east. A short drive takes you to the east coast and to many dreamlike beaches like Cala Marcal, Cala Ferrera and Cala Mondragó. At the same time, the latter is a natural park and nice for long strolls. The fishing village of Portocolom surprises with colourful houses, which almost seem to dip in the Mediterranean. The traditional fishing boats, called Llaüts, are still in use and every morning you can watch the fishermen going for work. While strolling through the cobbled streets, having a glass of wine in a small café, constantly accompanied by a salty breeze, you'll feel the real essence of Mallorca. Surroundings
Mallorca is the largest island of the Balearic Islands, here you think of beach resorts, but there are more ways to enjoy the coast and inland, especially in autumn and winter, when the large groups of tourists are gone and the temperature is therefore more suitable for outdoor activities. You can spend a week in the Tramuntana mountain range in the west of Mallorca, walking or cycling. Or you visit a winery in the center of the island where you can try local traditional wines. Visit a farm by bike or walking, here you can learn how to make sobrasada or mallorquin pork sausages. You will find great places to eat here. The chefs of Mallorca use traditional recipes adapted to modern tastes. There are six Michelin star restaurants on the island. This famous enthusiasm for the local cuisine can also be seen in the other restaurants on Mallorca.
Even though you have been to the island several times, there is always something to discover, especially if you enter the lush inland or explore the spectacular coastline.
Normally the beach season starts in May until the end of October, but the island is also beautiful in spring when the walnut tree is in bloom. Outside the hottest months of July and August, the Balearic Islands are an ideal place for an active holiday, where you can see everything if you are interested in plants and birds, or if you want to discover the local culture.
While many beach resorts close during the winter months, Mallorca is an ideal holiday destination all year round. If you want to do more than lie on the beach, take advantage of the low winter prices and enjoy the taste of real life on the Balearic Islands.
