La Fuente is nestled on the side of a valley with beautiful sea and mountain views. The self catering accommodation comprises four/five bedrooms, two large living rooms (one with bed settee), three bathrooms, two kitchens and two nayas. There is a large private garden with pool and sunbathing area and upper terrace with barbecue. The villa and apartment are well equipped and attractively presented with good quality bed linen, towels and kitchen equipment. It sleeps 12 people in all (including sofa bed). We aim to make the villa a relaxing home from home and have furnished and equipped it to the sort of standard we would hope for in holiday accommodation. It is a few minutes drive from the lovely El Portet beach and Moraira town centre with its range of shops, restaurants and amenities. The whole area is relatively unspoilt with stunning scenery inland and a beautiful coastline.
Beaches : The nearest beach to the villa is El Portet. It is a pretyy beach which shelves out gently and is ideal for children. There is another larger beach in Moraira town. Both beaches have bar/restaurant and toilet facilities. The attractive resort of Javea is about a 20 minute drive away and has a beautiful beach. If you like long, quiet stretches of sandy beaches then there are also many of these towards Oliva and Gandia.
Local area and further afield: Moraira has a good selection of shops, restaurants and other amenities. It is an attractive town and has escaped the trappings of mass tourism.. The nearby towns of Teulada, Benissa and Gata are also worth exploring, with their pretty back streets and Spanish feel. Altea is picture postcard Spain in the old town and has a lovely church perched on top of the hill with great views of the surrounding area. Denia, good for shopping and the nearest port, with regular ferries to the Balearics, is about 30 minutes drive away. A short drive inland will take you through some fantastic mountain scenery and there are many excellent restaurants where you can dine well but inexpensively. In many restaurants the Menu del Dia is still only around12 euros per person for a three course meal with wine. The Fonts Algar waterfalls and Guadalest are well worth a visit if you venture inland. If you would like to visit somewhere more livlely, Benidorm is a half an hour away with its many attractions for children, including Aqualandia and Mundomar. Equally, if you are looking for the real Spain, you will find it in the towns and villages a few miles inland. Valencia and Alicante are both impressive places to visit with interesting historic sights, galleries, excellent shops and many other unique attractions.
