3 Bedroom House in Manacor
Let yourself be captivated by the magnificent view as soon as you step onto the spacious terrace with swimming pool (5.0 x 9.7m). Perhaps wrapped in one of our fluffy bathrobes that are at your disposal? :-)
Due to the hillside location, you can let your gaze wander and, on a clear day, make out the ocean in the distance.
You and your family are the sole occupants of a 15,000m² large property. You won't find other buildings/units on this plot of land. Several fields separate your holiday residence from the nearest farmhouse.
When you wake up to the first sun rays, you might hear the little bells of the sheep that sometimes graze in the near vicinity, but otherwise it is quiet.
At the same time, Manacor -the island's second largest town- can be reached within a few minutes. There you'll find all the shopping facilities you can think of. Even our specific cosmetic products (which we usually bring with us from home) are sold in one of the shops here. Manacor also has one of the island's largest hospitals - and that makes us feel safe.
Holidaymakers who like it a bit more quaint should visit Porto Cristo. A trip to Arta is also an interesting experience.
Some details about the house:
First of all, there are no extra costs! Everything we offer you is included in the prices!
Each bedroom has a large built-in cupboard with more than enough space for your belongings. They also feature a double bed and two of the rooms have small chairs without backs that can be turned into guest beds. Of course we can also provide one or more cots. Please let us know in advance. Two of the bedrooms have a Panasonic LCD TV (32" & 39"). There also two hotel safes that are big enough for storing a 15" laptop.
At the time of writing this, our oldest daughter is 2 1/2 years old, so we have a highchair and a potty ;-) . A pushchair is available as well. And we just purchased a children's table with two cute stools. Our little girl has built a few tall Duplo towers on that table (with Grandma's help) :-) .
All bedrooms, basically the walls of the entire house, are insulated very well, so there's really no need for air conditioning. (I want to mention this because I don't like sleeping with the air conditioning on as one can easily catch a cold). Furthermore, every bedroom has a 'cool' ceiling fan that runs quietly and circulates air, which helps too. However, you can of course run the air conditioning in intervals.
Both bathrooms are a dream made of marble with extra wide washbasins (wide enough for the four of us to brush our teeth at the same time - once our youngest knows how to stand upright). The shower doesn't need a shower curtain! Needless to say, we also provide hair dryers. One bathroom has a scale (I don't like using it while on holiday).
The kitchen is equipped with all the frills, e.g. a drip coffee maker and a Senseo coffee pad machine. Last year we installed a summer kitchen on the terrace with access to the indoor kitchen; it features a gas grill (and a large Weber charcoal grill) and a gas hob for preparing meals outside - which is something I love to do. ;-)
There's even a raclette- and a fondue-set for the New Year's Eve party. In case the kitchen is missing something you would have needed, please let our property manager know and it might be available during your next stay! :-)
The various terraces allow you to retreat and get some privacy, chill out, read a book in the shade or sunbathe.
The amenities in the living room include a Panasonic LCD TV (50") with Dolby Surround and a Wii gaming console for bad weather days. It is equipped with WiFi -which is also available on the breakfast terrace- so you can check Facebook, etc.. As we do work a little at times, we have a scanner/laser printer/copier machine. Guests who own iPhones are welcome to use the Loewe air speaker to play music - simply plug in a USB cable and you're all set. The speaker has a great sound and can be placed next to any power outlet!
A few general points: Of course you will receive detailed directions. However, the route from the airport to your holiday finca is really easy and the road is in good condition until you reach Manacor. The last 2 km are bit more challenging, but we don't think it is a big deal. One of our German-speaking property managers will welcome you upon your arrival. You will get a tour and the manager will explain everything you need to know. This also means you have a contact person nearby whom you can call if you have any questions or in the event that a problem should arise.
Last but not least, please be aware of the following:
If you enjoy chatting with your neighbour across the garden fence during breakfast, sharing a pool with strangers, listening to different music genres at the same time...
If all this is on your wish list, then please don't ever choose our house as your holiday accommodation as you would be utterly disappointed! *grin*
Please note:
We ask that you refrain from smoking inside the house because the landlady is allergic to formaldehyde. Feel free to smoke on the terraces; ash trays are available. :-)
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept pets as one of our daughters is allergic to animals.
No letting to youth groups!
Charging of any type of mobile vehicle is strictly prohibited.
