Positive: Great location with fantastic views. Car park was ok. Very nice room which was quite well equipped

Negative: This was probably the strangest hotel experience of my life. We arrived just before the 3 pm check in time and found the place empty. The door was open but no one there. We saw there was a check in number to ring but there was no answer. Eventually someone did turn up and made some calls, and we got access to our room. Despite the booking .com info advertising that this was a spa hotel and restaurant, there was no food available and we could not get a drink either. There is nothing else available in the village. We managed to get through to someone who agreed we could have dinner no earlier than 8 as she was teaching in the local school. They opened the bar for us eventually at 7.30 pm. The meal we had was very tasty and drinks were reasonable prices. Breakfast was a la carte continental and she forgot one of the items I ordered but no big deal. The spa and pool were apparently not open. We met another guest who was walking a camino route and wanted some lunch, but again they could not get any. We do not think this place should properly be described as a hotel as it is clearly not manned during the day and nothing is available until well into the evening. Having said all of that, once the staff did arrive the experience was pleasant.
