Positive: I was pleased with the hotel and the location. The breakfast was adequate and what I expected and the kitchen staff was polite and attentive. I found two of the male hotel clerks surly, and one of them outright rude

Negative: Booking suggested I request an early check-in, which I did. The response was "depending upon availability." That's understandable, Early booking was unavailable, When I showed up at 3 PM to check in the computers were "down" and I had to wait. When I questioned this, mentioning that I had been waiting since 9 AM, I was rudely told, "you should have booked a room for another day." I should add that since the hotel was not full, I had doubts that rooms were unavailable for early check in, I would have appreciated, "let us know how to contact you this morning in the event a room frees up earlier." The female clerk with whom I interacted was polite and helpful.
