Positive: The Sara-Placid Inn is a very good value for the price. The room & bathroom were very clean; though did show their age with some stains on the sinks. The beds were clean and comfortable. The location is close to downtown Saranac Lake and an easy drive to Lake Placid. Communication via text was usually prompt, and appreciated.

Negative: Winter in Saranac Lake is a given to be snowy, and it snowed just about the whole time we were there. We were surprised at how poorly the entrance and parking lot were plowed. Though the walkway in front of the rooms was usually clear, access to the parking lot wasn't well-shoveled.
