Summary: Lovely hotel in Helmsley with great restaurant and beer garden, would definitely recommend. Rooms are very good size and overall the experience was good value for money. The one thing that let it down for me was the quality of the cooked breakfast. I don’t expect microwaved scrambled eggs from a hotel of this quality, not when you only order the scrambled eggs on toast, and I was also given black pudding that wasn’t fully cooked and so wasn’t safe to eat. There are a lot of good breakfast cafes instead in the village though.
